I have seen a good alternative for many products the distillation. Specifically for: 1) Spent Nickel Catalyst, which is composed, roughly, by 10 - 30 % NiO; 20 - 30% SiO2+Al2O3 and the rest is hydrogenated fat. Separating the organics I think I have an step up. 2) Zinc undesires alloys like zinc dross. With distillation (preferabily in vacuum) we could get pure zinc again or zinc dust for mining or painting application. 3) Mining residues with As: we could separate such metalloid and sell for specific uses and remaining a waste clean from it.
